A large fire broke out overnight in Gjirokastër, engulfing several warehouses located on the premises of the former NPA.
The flames were intense, and as a result of the fire, the power supply was cut off to about half of the city for nearly 30 minutes. Afterwards, electricity was restored to normal.
Firefighting units arrived at the scene, intervened to extinguish the fire, and managed to bring the flames under control.
So far, no injuries have been reported, while the fire caused considerable material damage. The cause of the blaze remains unclear.
