Two panoramic balconies have been inaugurated in the village of Llangë, in the Steblevë Administrative Unit of the Librazhd Municipality, with the aim of engaging young people and further developing mountain tourism. The investment, co-financed by the Librazhd Municipality and the National Youth Agency (AKR), is expected to bring young people closer to nature.
Mayor Mariglen Disha praised the cooperation with AKR, expressing readiness to apply in future calls for funding other projects in the Librazhd Municipality. “Together with the General Director of AKR and the deputies of the Librazhd municipality, we are in the village of Llangë in the Steblevë Administrative Unit to see up close the completion of the works on the two panoramic balconies. We hope to apply for calls that will open later to finance any possible project for the Librazhd municipality”, said the mayor of Librazhd.
For her part, the General Director of AKR said the investment will serve not only as a new tourist spot, but also as a space that brings young people closer to nature and the activities the area offers. “I am very happy that today we are seeing this entire investment. In fact, besides being a very important point for youth, it will also be an important tourist point. On this occasion, we must also bring young people closer to nature, but also to the activities the area offers”, she stressed.
Socialist Party MP Bora Muzhaqi stressed that the project combines two priorities, tourism and youth, underlining Librazhd’s potential for the development of mountain tourism. She also mentioned opportunities for involving young people trained as mountain guides and developing other tourist activities, such as zipline.
“One of the mayor’s focuses since he began work as mayor has been tourism, and young people have always been supported with the creative ideas they have had, and how beautiful it is that today we have a combination of both fields. This is a project that serves tourism, where our numbers are already steadily growing in Librazhd, but also combines young people. We have many young people who have been trained to be mountain guides, and why not, they will also have a zipline”, Muzhaqi said.
The panoramic balconies, located opposite the characteristic centuries-old towers of Llangë, are expected to add to the area’s tourist offer and create another point of interest for visitors who choose to explore the nature and landscapes of Steblevë.
