Tensions rose during a student protest on Tuesday near the Ministry of Education, on Durrësi Street. Several of the young people taking part in the peaceful gathering were escorted away by police officers. According to preliminary information, the protest was proceeding peacefully when officers intervened and escorted several of the participants. Following the police intervention, some of the other protesters were pursued by officers toward Skanderbeg Square.
