A group of students marched toward the Prime Minister’s Office, continuing the protest through which they demand the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and a change of the political system in Albania.
During the march, the protesters accompanied their movement with chants against the political class, while the slogans heard most often were “Revolution” and “Rama to prison, Berisha to prison”. Through these chants, the students expressed dissatisfaction with the country’s political direction and called for a profound change in the way Albanian politics functions.
The protesters chose the Prime Minister’s Office as the destination of the march, turning the institution into the main point of the gathering and of their political message.
In the area around the Prime Minister’s Office, an increased presence of State Police forces was noticed. Hundreds of officers were positioned in front of the Prime Minister’s Office building, as well as near other institutions, with the aim of guaranteeing security and the smooth conduct of the protest.
