Two young men from Kosovo were arrested at the Morina border crossing after being wanted under an international warrant by German authorities.
Police announced that, as part of the “Wanted” operation, a 22-year-old and a 24-year-old, both residents of Vushtrri, were arrested.
According to the authorities, the Erfurt Court in Germany sentenced each of them on 1 June 2026 to 15 years in prison for the criminal offences of “robbery with violence committed in complicity” and “property damage.”
The two young men were arrested for the purpose of extradition, while Interpol Tirana and Interpol Wiesbaden are continuing the procedures for their transfer to Germany.
