A 20-year-old with the initials S. D. was arrested in flagrante in Tirana after police caught him driving a vehicle in which he was carrying a pistol and live ammunition. Officers of Police Station No. 3 stopped the vehicle on “Kastriotët” street, based on information previously obtained by the officers. During the search, they found and seized the firearm and the ammunition. The young man, a resident of Tirana, was arrested following investigative actions.
According to the Police, two of his relatives, aged 51 and 23, have been criminally proceeded against while at liberty, after they resisted officers during the search of the residence in order to obstruct him from being apprehended. The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecution Office for further action.
