Sulo denies being the person shown in the video and warns that he will pursue the matter to the end. Sulo has taken legal steps against Senajda Kelmendi and Elton Tozaj, following posts and comments on social media that, according to him, have linked his name to an intimate video. In a public statement, Sulo described the claims as false, categorically denying that he is the person appearing in the video circulating on social media.

For two days I have been aware that an intimate video of two people is circulating on social media, which, through comments and various posts, has been linked to my name, claiming that I appear in it together with a former Big Brother housemate. I never would have thought I would have to make a public statement about something like this. Especially when it is enough to watch that video to understand that the person appearing in it is not me. For anyone who knows me, this is easily recognizable and leaves no room for doubt. Professional integrity, moral dignity and a clean reputation to serve the duty are the principles of my life.
I understand that political positions come with a personal cost, but there is a red line, especially when it comes to damaging the image and reputation of an individual, based on fabrication, deception and malice for the sake of audience or other purposes. But what has prompted me to react today is not the need to clarify something so obvious. It is the way my name has been used and spread on social media, without any accountability for the consequences such an action brings.
In the posts and comments made by Senajda Kelmendi and Elton Tozaj, my name has been linked to this video, also identifying me through the position I hold as Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Energy. Beyond any public function, I have a family, who in these days have faced a completely unnecessary worry.
I have no intention of engaging in gossip or becoming part of this form of public communication. But I cannot accept that my name, my personal dignity and the peace of my family be used in this way. For this reason, today I have prepared a lawsuit against the two persons mentioned above and will turn to the competent court. I will follow every legal step to the end, because I believe that freedom of speech cannot serve as a justification for violating the dignity and reputation of a person. This is not a matter of duty, position or career. It is a matter of human dignity and respect for family.
I have nothing to hide and nothing to justify. I am not the person in that video, and anyone who knows me can easily understand this.
What cannot pass in silence is how easily someone’s name can be used to create a false story, without even a moment’s thought for the life, the family and the people who are hurt behind that name.
That is exactly why I have decided to react.
