Two 26-year-old men have been arrested by police after they were suspected of being involved in a series of thefts in Pogradec and Korçë, while a third person has been declared wanted.
The coded operation “Qarku” led to the solving of six theft cases. According to police, the suspects are charged with theft from five businesses, as well as taking several items from a vehicle.
During searches of the arrested individuals’ homes, police seized suspected stolen goods, a sum of money, and the vehicle that is believed to have been used by them for transport.
A person with the initials E. Ll., residing in Kamëz, has been identified as a suspected accomplice and declared wanted.
Investigations continue to determine whether the suspects are also involved in other thefts. The procedural materials have been referred to the Korçë Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
