The incident in the village of Godvi, Bulqizë, where a citizen was initially reported to have died after being attacked by a wild animal, has come to light.
The wife and son of the victim have been arrested, suspected of killing him with a firearm and sharp cutting tools.
On 04.11.2026, the Sector for the Investigation of Serious Crimes at the Diber Police Directorate, under the direction of the Prosecution Office at the Diber First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction, following an intensive investigation, documented the incident that occurred on 03.11.2026 in the village of Godvi, Bulqizë.
Initially, the family members of citizen U. F. reported that he had died as a result of an attack by a wild animal (a bear), but investigations and forensic examinations revealed that this citizen had been killed with a firearm.
As part of the investigative actions, the following citizens were detained:
* S. F., 57 years old;
* G. F., 33 years old;
both residents of the village of Godvi (respectively the wife and son of citizen U. F.).
Their detention was carried out on suspicion that, acting in cooperation with each other, they killed citizen U. F. with a firearm and sharp cutting tools.
As material evidence, a model 54 pistol firearm with ammunition, as well as a pistol cartridge case found in the yard of the residence, were seized.
The procedural materials have been referred to the Diber Prosecution Office for the criminal offences of “Murder due to family relations” and “Unlawful possession of weapons and ammunition”, committed in cooperation.
