Flames engulfed the rooftop terrace of a venue located on the 11th floor of an apartment building in Shkodër on Monday. Police and firefighters arrived at the scene immediately and managed to contain the fire.
Shkodër Mayor Benet Beci expressed gratitude to every firefighter, the State Police, the Municipal Police and the health service for their readiness and rapid response to the fire in the city center.
“The fire has been completely contained, while the relevant institutions are investigating the causes. Thank you to everyone who, with dedication and professionalism, worked to ensure the safety of citizens in those moments,” Beci wrote in a social media post.
The venue on the terrace had been closed for 2 years. Fortunately, there was only material damage and no one was injured.
