Spokesman of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi, stated that Iran will continue to expand the range of its missiles. He warned that this process will not change. At a press conference on November 7, he also signaled a possible change in the country’s nuclear doctrine, Iranian media reported.
Thus, Iran’s missile program remains at the center of official statements, while tensions with the West continue to run high. This is a clear sign that Tehran does not intend to halt the development of its military capabilities, despite international pressure and recent attacks.
The statement comes at a sensitive moment, when discussions about the future of Iran’s nuclear program have intensified. Every move by Iranian officials is closely followed by international actors. Mohebbi referred to the instruction of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, to confront opponents without geographic limits.
He emphasized that Iran is continuously improving its missile capabilities. He added that if the country’s leadership deems a review of the nuclear doctrine necessary, Iran will prepare to respond to threats from hostile Western countries. However, authorities have not officially announced plans to change Iran’s nuclear doctrine.
A few days ago, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaei, said that no official decision has been made to review the country’s nuclear stance. According to Iranian media reports, Mohebbi also announced that the IRGC Aerospace Force had moved missile and drone production lines to underground facilities.
Thus, he created what he described as “missile production cities”. He said that local expertise, Iran’s geographic extent and flexible production infrastructure will allow arms production to continue despite heavy bombing. On November 6, based on an analysis of satellite images conducted by BBC Verify, continuous construction and reconstruction work was documented at several Iranian military facilities, including those linked to the country’s missile program.
This shows continued efforts to restore damaged military infrastructure. The United States and Israel launched the war against Iran at the end of February. The attacks have targeted Iran’s missile and nuclear programs.
The US has announced a $20 million reward in exchange for information about Iran’s nuclear program – which Tehran insists is for civilian purposes – while US President Donald Trump has said the main aim of the war is to prevent Iran from possessing nuclear weapons.
