Prime Minister Edi Rama on Monday presented the new public administration reform, called “Merit Grade” (“Shkalla e Meritës”), explaining how it will work and the changes it aims to bring to the state administration system. The head of government also spoke about the evaluation process for managers and the resignations of some of them from posts they held just a few days earlier.
”Ten days ago, hundreds of managers underwent a process of evaluating their performance at work. This is not a race to see how many managers leave or to change names, remove Colin and bring in Lola.
It is a requirement to see where work has stalled and where it has produced worse results for the state. Where problems recur, there must be consequences, without undermining capacities and the process of negotiations with the EU”, Rama said.
