Arlind Qori, head of the Bashkë Movement, a guest on “Të Paekspozuarit”, spoke about the protest currently taking place in Albania. He claimed that the vast majority of the Albanian people stand behind the student protest. On the other hand, Qori asserts that Rama has chosen to confront the protesters with violence rather than by respecting democracy.
Rakipi: Are they likely to succeed?
Qori: When the other side is not afraid of rubber bullets, it means these measures will have no effect. It is a whole people that will bring about change. Rama is a symbol of evil.
Demalia: How big is the Albanian people?
Qori: The vast majority.
Demalia: You are speaking on behalf of the entire people; you’re like those of ’46.
Qori: Nothing happened in ’46, something happened in ’44. When we speak on behalf of the people, we speak of one spirit. The scale of the protest has been bigger. This is an indication that the Albanian people stand behind the protesters. A non-partisan government is put into office and tested there. Less than a year ago, in Bulgaria, the prime minister faced protests like those in Albania and resigned. There are plenty of precedents. Rama does not have the minimum sense of responsibility and has chosen a police solution.
Demalia: Demagogue.
Qori: The PS, at another time, if its headquarters had been seen under attack, a teacher would have come out to defend it. Now that it belongs to Rama and Agasi, they come out in droves to defend it.
