Democratic deputy Jorida Tabaku, who is also chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Human Rights, called for a debate on the accusations by Erion Veliaj, who stated that he was threatened on behalf of Rama through Minister Toni Gogu.
“Let the Minister of Justice threaten and we have no information. For me this is an alarm bell. Today is the moment to have transparency. When this happens to Veliaj, what do you do to the opponent and the ordinary citizen? Whoever holds a contrary opinion is threatened; human rights must be at the top of the agenda. They cannot be bypassed by this Parliament,” Tabaku said at the meeting of the Committee on Human Rights.
