A joint appearance carrying a clear political message has come from New York, where Albanian candidate for the U.S. Congress Diamant Hysenaj met with Republican candidate for Governor of New York State, Bruce Blakeman.
During the meeting, both candidates conveyed a shared message on the need to change economic policies and strengthen security in communities, placing the concerns of families and businesses at the center.
Bruce Blakeman said citizens are facing high taxes, increasingly unaffordable service costs, and concerns about public safety. He promised that, together with Diamant Hysenaj, they would work to lower taxes, halve service bills, and create safer communities.
Hysenaj described Blakeman’s support as an important signal for the Albanian-American community, stressing that Albanian families need representatives who listen to and understand their everyday problems. He particularly emphasized the economic burden weighing on citizens, as well as the importance of leadership that puts the interests of families first.
The meeting was also accompanied by a message of support from Blakeman for Hysenaj’s candidacy, whom he greeted as a future new congressman. For the Albanian-American community, this joint appearance carries special significance, as it brings back into focus the role and ambition of Albanian representation in American politics.
