Finance Minister Petrit Malaj announced that the 2027 budget provides for an increase in financial support for pensioners, through two measures aimed at improving their income and easing the burden of everyday expenses.
“With the 2027 Budget, we are increasing support for pensioners, so that they can more easily afford their daily needs and have greater economic security. We are projecting about 24 billion additional leks for two measures that increase their income”, he wrote.
The planned measures include doubling the monthly bonus for pensioners, by category, starting January 1, 2027, as well as indexing pensions in April, three months earlier than usual.
