If there is a God, He has given us a sign…
What path will Albania follow?!
Now, after the elections in Serbia, the situation is even clearer: Will we follow the lessons of Vučić, or will we choose the path of political solutions, social peace, and national unity?
Vučić’s advice was very “well-meaning”, and poisoned! You tear each other apart, you attack one another with sticks and clubs, stones and fire as far as your arm can reach, while we in Serbia pursue political solutions.
It appears the student list won, the elections seem uncontested. It doesn’t matter who won; what matters is that they found the solution that he did not suggest to us, speaking to us with familiarity as if he were a neighborhood kid, calling us by name, and in short.
Do as I say, but not as I do!
The good political solutions are there. Politicians’ drafts written in the language of violence are of no use to us at all. The solutions exist; only those who do not want them fail to see them! The main political figures, the deputies in the Assembly, mainly these, the President, the government, the Prime Minister, and the political headquarters of the parties must give us solutions as the Constitution prescribes.
The Constitution requires respect for the popular will through free, equal, and honest elections to express the sovereign interest of citizens! This is the only solution, not the one that the Serbian president proposes to us with “good intentions”, unlike what he does in his own home, inviting us to shrink the freedoms and human, political rights of citizens.
I repeat, Albania today, not the Albania of after World War II, cannot bear on its back a clash between authoritarianism and citizens.
Now, here is the crossroads: Shall we listen to the Serbian “friend”, who tells us one thing and does another in his own home, or shall we follow the voice of the Constitution and the path of good for the nation?!
