Democrats gathered this Saturday in front of the Prime Minister’s Office, at the protest called by PD leader Sali Berisha.
During the rally, the Secretary General of the Democratic Party, Flamur Noka, stated that the opposition has consistently supported the students and that the protesters will move toward the Ministry of Education to join them.
Noka said the PD aims to support the students’ demands without taking over their protest. He accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of using police pressure against the protesters, stating that the opposition will continue to stand alongside the students.
The PD Secretary General also commented on the so-called “flamingo protest.” He claimed the protest was weakened by government interference and accused some participants of having gone over to serve it.
Noka also leveled accusations against Arlind Qori, linking him to the 2018 student protest and claiming that his positions have politically favored the government.
