Prime Minister Edi Rama, speaking at the high-level summit on the enlargement of the European Union and the European prospects of candidate countries seeking membership, said our country still has problems, but that the government is working to solve them.
In an interview with journalist Maria Tadeo, Rama also spoke about the protests in Albania, saying that “we had violent protesters and, unlike any other country that has faced protests, we had twice as many police officers injured compared to the protesters. But on social media it looked different”.
The moderator of the debate, after Rama’s comment, said that on the other hand the protesters could say it is not the same, since the police are armed while they are not.
Rama responded to this question with humor or irony.
“Are you provoking me or are you serious? Are you trying to get me to have a debate about interests?”, Rama asked the journalist, who replied “No, I’m just giving you one example…”.
“The day I think I don’t need to change, then I will leave this job. I want to change. My life is in change in many aspects, even in marriage. I will no longer bore you with facts about what we have been changing since the Flamingos came down to the square and what is new in the government’s action, among other things, by using AI”, Rama said.
