Tensions have erupted on the Boulevard for the first time, after several calm hours at the protest in front of the Prime Minister’s Office. A group of young people threw stones at the police. They also broke the windows of the Parliament’s presidency.
Meanwhile, a water cannon truck has been put on standby for a possible intervention should tensions escalate.
Today’s protest is taking place in a tense atmosphere following clashes a day earlier between demonstrators and police, during which 28-year-old Erjon Vishkulli was seriously injured in the eye.
The young man has been sent to Italy for specialized medical treatment, while his injury has caused numerous reactions from students and citizens.
