The student protest against the government of Edi Rama continues for the 14th day in a row, while protesters have marched toward the Prime Minister’s Office, moving the rally from the Ministry of Education to the seat of government.
After gathering in front of the Ministry of Education, other citizens joined the students and continued marching toward the Prime Minister’s Office building.
The main demand of the protesters remains the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama. The young people have made it known that they will continue their resistance and will not give up the protests, despite the new legal measures announced by the head of government.
The rallies of the past two weeks have on several occasions been accompanied by tensions and clashes between protesters and police, while the situation remains closely tied to the course of the student mobilization.
