Today the next court hearing is being held for the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.
The mayor himself is not expected to attend today’s hearing, but he will be represented by his legal defense team.
It is also learned that Veliaj has sent the court a letter, in which he has set out all his positions regarding the developments of the past 24 hours and the meeting with Minister Gogu.
Veliaj has asked the panel of judges to read the document aloud at the hearing, in the interest of transparency and its legal assessment.
Lawyer Plarent Ndreca has appeared at the GJKKO and, in a brief exchange with journalists, said: “Let’s see how the process will go.”
