Juventus paid a high price for the defeat to Napoli. Luciano Spalletti’s side is facing a worrying situation regarding the physical condition of its players, as three more footballers showed problems during the last match.
Weston McKennie, Juan Cabal and Kerim Alajbegovic will undergo medical tests to determine the extent of the injuries. The biggest concern in the black-and-white camp relates to the American midfielder, who felt pain in the adductor area, as well as defender Cabal, who is suspected of a muscle strain, just a short time after returning to the pitch.
The situation with Alajbegovic appears more positive. In his case, preliminary suspicions point to physical fatigue, which may have come after he scored the goal.
These new problems make Juventus’s situation even more difficult, as the club currently has seven other players in the infirmary: Grabara, Celik, Locatelli, Thuram, Yildiz, Nico Gonzalez and Conceição. Arkadiusz Milik is also on this list.
The situation becomes even more complicated for Luciano Spalletti on the eve of Thursday’s away trip to AZ Alkmaar, in the Europa League. The coach risks travelling to Holland with a reduced group of players, with very few alternatives available.
Difficulties are also increased by the restrictions of the UEFA list, as Rugani, Zhegrova and Ekhator cannot be part of the squad for this competition.
