Marc Cucurella’s partner, Claudia Rodriguez, the Chelsea footballer’s partner, has said she was near the serious railway accident in Spain, in which, according to reports, 68 people have lost their lives.
Rodriguez was travelling by train to Malaga, but her journey was interrupted after passengers were informed about a serious incident on the railway line. The train she was on was behind the one involved in the tragic collision.
“I am fine. The train I was on was behind the one that crashed. I was travelling to Malaga, but at one point we were informed that something serious had happened and we had to return to Madrid,” Claudia Rodriguez said.
The incident has caused numerous reactions in Spain, while the testimony of the footballer’s partner has drawn attention to the fact that she was on the same railway line at the moment of the accident.
