Bayern Munich has no intention of attempting to sign Erling Haaland from Manchester City. The German club has confirmed it is satisfied with the options it has in the attacking department, where the main figure remains English striker Harry Kane.
The news was revealed by “Sport Bild” journalist Christian Falk, who said he spoke directly with Bayern Munich chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen about the possibility of signing the Norwegian goalscorer.
The Bavarian executive’s response was clear: Bayern is not considering Haaland, as it believes it already has the best striker in the world in its squad.
“Dreesen told me that Bayern Munich already has the best striker in the world, Harry Kane, as well as a very strong attacking unit overall,” Christian Falk stated.
According to the report, the German club’s position is not expected to change regardless of future developments in the case of the 115 charges against Manchester City for alleged financial breaches in the Premier League.
Another factor that makes Kane so important to Bayern is his contribution beyond goals. Despite being 33 years old, the Englishman is valued for his ability to organize play, create chances and build attacking moves.
For the Bavarian executives, replacing Kane in the future will not simply be a matter of finding a striker who scores goals, but a player who can offer the same impact on the team’s play.
