Bruno Fernandes’ house in Cheshire was robbed by three masked people while the Manchester United captain was in Italy for a Champions League match. British authorities have launched an investigation to identify the perpetrators.
A disturbing incident took place at Bruno Fernandes’ residence, which is valued at around £4 million. According to reports by the Manchester Evening News, the robbery occurred on Wednesday at around 8:30 p.m., while the Portuguese midfielder was in Italy with the Manchester United squad.
The alarm was raised by a neighbour of the footballer, who notified police after noticing three suspicious people in the courtyard of the property. The perpetrators are believed to have climbed over a fence near a wooded area to enter the property, from where they took several valuable items.
According to published information, the three people remained inside the house for less than five minutes, despite an advanced security system that includes surveillance cameras, an alarm and an electric gate. At the time of the robbery, none of the footballer’s family members were at the residence.
Cheshire Police confirmed the incident, saying the perpetrators had not been found at the scene when officers arrived. Detective David Jarvis said the investigation is at an early stage and that authorities are working to identify those responsible. He appealed to members of the public who may have seen suspicious movement in the area to help with information.
