Bayern Munich’s striker Harry Kane acknowledged that the 2-2 draw with Arsenal was a fair result, although the Bavarian side had hoped to leave with a win. The Englishman also spoke about his ambitions in the Champions League and the chance to win the Golden Boot.
“I’m a bit disappointed, but I think the draw was a fair result. It looked like we would move forward and win the match, but then Arsenal put more pressure on us and scored the equalizer. We shouldn’t be too disappointed. We’ll accept this point and move forward”, Kane said.
Another important moment of the match was the penalty Kane converted into a goal. The English striker stressed that scoring penalties requires constant preparation and hard work.
“I wouldn’t say there wasn’t any doubt, because penalties require a lot of training and work. It’s nice when you manage to score”, he stated.
Finally, the English striker was also asked about the chance of winning the Golden Boot, one of the most prestigious individual awards in world football.
“It’s a great honor. I don’t like talking about myself, but I know that winning it would be a huge achievement. It could be an extraordinary moment, and I can hardly wait for this opportunity, but we still have another match ahead”, he concluded.
