Max Kruse has found a highly unusual way to continue his activity after retiring from professional football. The former Germany national team striker has entered the business world, launching a product that has caught the attention of fans: ice cream in the shape of spaghetti!
The 38-year-old, who during his career played for clubs such as Werder Bremen and Wolfsburg, has created a new business called “Byce – The Ice Cream for Real Fans”, combining his passion for football with a very popular dessert in Germany.
What is this special ice cream?
Known as “Spaghetti Eis”, this German dessert looks like a plate of pasta. Vanilla ice cream is pressed through a special press, which turns it into thin strands resembling spaghetti. Then strawberry sauce and grated white chocolate or coconut are added on top, creating the look of pasta with tomato sauce and parmesan.
The traditional version is served on a layer of custard, but Kruse has decided to give this product a football identity.
His idea is for the ice creams to be personalized according to the colors of different clubs, offering fans a dessert directly linked to their favorite team.
Kruse ended his professional career in 2023, when he was playing for SC Paderborn. Now, the former German footballer has chosen a completely different field to stay close to sport and fans.
