The English coach has returned to the club’s training ground, while Manchester United’s leadership has yet to announce a decision on his future following the heavy defeat to Bournemouth.
Michael Carrick was seen this morning at the Carrington training ground, at a time when his future in the Manchester United dugout remains unclear.
The English manager arrived shortly before 08:00, wearing the club’s training kit. Meanwhile, the first team is expected to return to training after the rest day given on Monday, following the 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth on Sunday.
According to the current plan, Carrick is the one expected to lead the day’s training session, pending official communication from the club’s leadership about his future at the head of the team.
Despite the speculation and increased pressure, the coach has not changed his daily routine. The day before, he had been at Carrington to closely watch the Manchester United U21 match against Hull City.
Carrick watched the game from the stands, along with most of his coaching staff. His continued presence at the training ground shows that the coach is carrying on with his professional duties, while the situation remains tense both on the sporting side and at the management level.
