The future of Marcus Rashford at Manchester United is once again in doubt. The English forward, who returned to Old Trafford after loan spells at Aston Villa and Barcelona, could leave again during the January transfer window.
According to reports, the 1997-born footballer is not satisfied with the playing time he has received so far. Rashford has made only eight appearances, with a total of 502 minutes on the pitch, figures that have added to his dissatisfaction.
For this reason, the forward is open to a new transfer, in search of more space and consistency. Manchester United would not stand in the way of his departure either, as club officials are reportedly not fully satisfied with the player’s attitude.
If Rashford leaves, United’s executives have begun considering alternatives to strengthen the attack. One reason is also the physical condition of Benjamin Sesko, signed from Leipzig for more than 75 million euros, but who has so far had problems being regularly available.
The Slovenian striker has recorded only 206 minutes of playing time in all competitions, with two goals in six matches.
According to the English newspaper “Daily Mail”, the top name on Manchester United’s list is Barcelona’s Fermin Lopez. The Spanish attacking midfielder, born in 2003, is enjoying a very good period, with six goals in 13 appearances.
However, his transfer will not be easy at all. Barcelona considers him an important element of the sporting project and is asking for at least 70 million euros for his contract.
