Harry Kane’s Golden Ball 2026 win has drawn the attention of the football world. Among the congratulations for the Bayern Munich striker is one from Franck Ribery, former star of the Bavarian club, who praised the Englishman for the greatest individual achievement of his career.
In a message published on social media, the Frenchman praised Kane’s work and character, stressing the importance of dedication to the team.
“Congratulations, Harry Kane! Humility, tireless work and your dedication to the team have finally paid off. This is a demonstration that talent, combined with determination and team spirit, is always rewarded. Respect!” Ribery wrote.
The Frenchman’s message carries special significance given his own history with this award. In 2013, Ribery finished third despite an outstanding season with Bayern Munich, with whom he won the treble.
Over the years, the former French winger has expressed disappointment at not winning that trophy, but this time he chose to set aside controversy and congratulate Kane.
The English striker, according to reports, ended the season with 73 goals in all competitions, won the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich and reached third place with England at the World Cup.
