Juventus is going through a difficult period, and despite disappointing results, the board has decided to give Luciano Spalletti one more chance. However, the Italian coach’s future remains closely tied to the results of upcoming matches, while the name of Antonio Conte continues to be mentioned as a possible alternative.
Following defeats to Lazio and Genoa, the board has demanded a reaction from the players. Carnevali held a meeting with the squad at Continassa, and afterwards the club decided that the players would stay in camp until the match against Napoli.
The problems, however, appear to run even deeper. According to the newspaper “La Stampa”, dissatisfaction with Spalletti’s working methods has begun to surface in the dressing room. The message coming from the group is telling: “Lots of words and little real training.”
“Tuttosport” also reports that some players believe they have not been prepared sufficiently physically. According to the paper, the massage room is constantly full, while the gym has many free spaces.
Meanwhile, during the latest medical checks, the staff paid special attention to the players’ body weight. However, all of them were found to be within the required parameters.
