Albania to donate army ammunition to Iraq
Albania’s arms donation to Iraq was discussed at the Council of Ministers after a proposal by the Ministry of Defense.
The Council of Ministers reported in a written statement after the meeting that the Albanian government made the decision to send an additional shipment to Iraq “within the framework of the international coalition in the fight against terrorism.”
The decision will be carried out and the shipment will be made soon after its publication in official newspapers, the government announced.
The Council had taken a similar decision to donate weapons and ammunitions to Iraq on 15 August.
Albania has already sent about 22 million bullets and 50,000 grenades to Iraq.
