Basha congratulates Albanians on 102nd anniversary of Independence

"This day unites souls of all Albanians. Happy 70th anniversary of liberation. Independence, freedom is rooted in the sacrifice of all Albanians who for centuries kept alive one of the oldest civilizations in Europe. This day is for their honor, for independent European and democratic Albania.

We have the responsibility to not sacrifice our country on behalf of political agendas, we owe it to their sacrifices for freedom. Freedom of choice, entrepreneurship, speech, free thought, based on these we could honor the faith of thousands of Albanians, "said Basha.

Prime minister Edi Rama also congratulated Albanians on this occasion, saying that tomorrow we'll see the first Festival of Lights in Albania.
