PM Rama: Rural Albania needs more investments
Rural areas in Albania need more investments by country’s businessmen. This has been the focal point of Primer Rama’s appeal to all Albanian businessmen, during his visit in Korca city. Albanian businessmen who operate in construction sector must turn their eyes into rural areas of the country, in order to improve locals’ economic situation, said Rama.
After visiting ProFast company which was established in Boboshtica village, Rama also visited Fixpro meat processing factory, established in Bulgarec village, in Korca. These factories have been funded by Albanian Agency for Rural and Agricultural Development, aiming to increase the production capacity, to improve the life of locals and boost economic growth in these areas.
Albanian Agency for Rural and Agricultural Development has supported many enterprises by subversions and by buying new machineries for companies established in rural areas.
Agriculture has been the topic of country’s economy during 2014, since the government has created many facilities and easing policies for businessmen who start using agricultural lands to produce bio products. The government aims to transform agriculture in the main source of incomes for rural area inhabitants and by this way to increase exports. Agriculture is seen as the most important sector of the economy of Albania, since the country has many barren lands, ready to put in use.
