Preparatory meeting of technical working group on durable solutions for displaced persons from Kosovo
The OSCE Mission in Kosovo, supported by the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), is organizing the preparatory meeting of an inter-governmental technical working group on durable solutions for displaced persons from Kosovo on 15 July in Prishtinё/Priština.
The representatives of governments from Belgrade, Podgorica, Prishtinё/Priština and Skopje will present priorities and action plans on durable solutions for displaced persons from Kosovo and together with the representatives of international organizations will agree on future steps in the context of this initiative.
The meeting is a follow up to the OSCE-organized High-level Conference on Durable Solutions for Displaced Persons held in Skopje in November 2014, when the decision to establish the working group was taken. During the Skopje Conference, participants also agreed to meet periodically, review progress, and provide support to durable solutions for displaced persons, be these return or integration in their current place of displacement.
The meeting will be opened by the Head of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, Ambassador Jean-Claude Schlumberger, Minister for Communities and Returns, Dalibor Jevtić, and the UNHCR Regional Representative for South Eastern Europe, Andrew Mayne.
Media representatives are cordially invited to attend the opening of the meeting onWednesday, 15 July 2015, at Hotel Sirius in Prishtinё/Priština, from 09:30 to 10:30.
