Rama in China to strengthen the economic cooperation
Prime Minister Rama is in China, heading a delegation that is participating in the proceedings of the two-day Economic Summit, China-Central and Eastern Europe, which is being held in the Suzhou city of eastern China.
This is the fourth meeting held between the heads of government of the 16 countries of Central and Eastern Europe and Prime Minister of China, Li Keqiang.
Prime Minister Rama stressed that the meeting of this year confirms the political will and commitment of 17 participating countries, to increase the level of cooperation.
Noting that Albania has been part of this initiative since the beginning, Prime Minister assured that his government will support and will work to further improve the quality and effectiveness of this partnership. Appreciating the traditional relations between China and Albania, which mark their 66th year, the Prime Minister expressed his satisfaction that relations were strengthened even more with new projects.
"In our view, the aim of this initiative is the continuation of the economic cooperation and political dialogue. Relations between China and Albania, in their 66th year are very positive and I am pleased to underline that we will continue to strengthen out cooperation", he said.
Rama said that the agenda adopted by the Summit will serve as a roadmap for sustainable cooperation in the future. The Prime Minister stressed that it is necessary to identify new perspectives between 16 + 1, to better define the multilateral agreement between China, Europe and Central and Eastern European countries.
Focusing on some concrete projects of importance for the development of the region, Prime Minister Rama stressed the commitment of the Albanian government to give incentives to the development of sectors of common interest in this regard.
"Albania is working on tourism, which is a national priority and a tool to promote growth and development. Tourism is closely related to infrastructure, which is important for the development of the entire region. Together with the government of Montenegro as well as Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia, we wait with impatience the financing of the Adriatic-Ionian highway which we call the "Blue Corridor"", he said. /albeu.com/
