Less than 24 hours after the previous detention, 17-year-old Fadil Balliu was again detained by police. His story, which was also made public by PD deputy Jorida Tabaku, has brought attention back to economic hardship and the need for social support. In the video published by Tabaku, the young man says he does not receive economic assistance and that he wants to work to support himself and his mother, since his father has passed away. His case raises questions about how young people in difficulty are treated and about the support institutions should provide to minors facing social and economic problems. Fadil wants to work, but ends up again in the hands of the Police. This is the contradiction that makes his story so sensitive and that sparks reactions beyond the individual case.
