NATO warships have arrived in the Gulf of Vlora, where they will carry out a joint exercise with the Albanian Naval Force, as part of military cooperation and enhanced interoperability between allied countries.
According to media reports, the naval group includes two ships from Germany, one from Italy and one from Spain. The warships arrived in Albanian waters on November 2 and will remain until November 6.
During November 3 and 4, the ships’ crews will conduct port visits, while joint naval and air drills are scheduled for November 5 and 6. NATO warships and the Albanian Naval Force’s vessels will take part in these maneuvers.
The exercise aims to strengthen operational cooperation between the naval forces of allied countries, as well as to increase their ability to act in a coordinated manner. It also aims to raise combat readiness and prepare military personnel for joint engagements within the missions of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
