This Thursday a vehicle ended up in a canal on the Tirana-Durrës highway, near the Dajlani Bridge, while it was reportedly trying to evade the Road Police. The driver of the vehicle did not comply with the police signal to stop. Police services had begun pursuing the vehicle, but during the pursuit the car left the road and ended up in the canal. Firefighting services intervened, pulling the driver out and taking him to hospital. It is preliminarily reported that the driver of the vehicle was under the influence of alcohol.
