Prime Minister Edi Rama has presented the platform “Dëmi im” (“My Damage”) on E-Albania, through which small businesses damaged during the protests of the past four days can apply for compensation.
In a video published on Facebook, Rama explained that businesses will be able to register damages by filling in identifying details, their NIPT (tax identification number) and a preliminary assessment of the damage, and by uploading photos and documents that verify the damage. After verifications are completed, a register of the reported damages will be prepared, with the aim of providing assistance to the affected businesses.
The head of government announced that 10 verification teams from the tax administration will be deployed in the field to collect information and assess the damage caused.
“We will turn this blind rubble into reflections of our strength to move forward,” Rama said.
