Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, commented on the European Commission’s annual report on our country at a press conference.
“Today I am here to present to Albanians the most important annual national report on Albania, on Albanian society and the institutions of this country.
First, this made my presentation to you much simpler. I have shortened it, because what Albanians read on the face of Edi Rama speaks more than the Commission’s report itself. It speaks of the high degree of his entanglement.
From alpha to omega, the Godfather of Albania is shown to be the main responsible party for all the serious findings of the European Commission for Albania this year. This is an unprecedented report in the history of reports between Albania and the European Union. Anyone who wishes to compare this report with the report on the functioning of democracy and the rule of law in Montenegro will find that Albania, compared with Montenegro, is an authoritarian dictatorship”, Berisha said.
“The report puts its finger on the most serious problems of authoritarian dictatorship in Albania, or of Edi Rama’s electoral autocracy.
I commend those on whose information this report was based, but also those who drafted it.
Albanians should know that the European Commission demands 115 changes from Albania for the coming year, some of which are of a more urgent nature, such as electoral reform, restoring parliamentary control over the government and the budget, removing exemptions from public procurement, and banning the damage to protected areas.
All of these have as their author and chief author the Godfather of Albania. It is he who, through brutal interference in the electoral process, allowed and personally organized 4,530 activities to influence Albanian voters. It is he who, since 2020 until today, has taken into his black hands over 90 percent of the powers in the country. It is he who, in order to stay in his chair, arrested the leaders of the main opposition parties in the election year, while placing the leader of the third party under criminal prosecution. It is he who, in order to buy votes, distributed 100 euros to every pensioner at the height of the election campaign. It is he, Edi Rama and no one else, who, in order to hold on to the mandate at any cost, forgave 2.1 billion lek in fines and default interest just two days before the elections. It is he who has organized an army of electoral political terrorists. It is he and no one else who activated all the drug cartels and criminal organizations, with his Gysni, to bring 28 criminal deputies into Parliament”, added the chairman of the Democratic Party.
