Albanian language pedagogy expert Elsa Skënderi comments on the level of preparation of politicians in the country and the responsibility of politics in the educational and civic formation of society.
Invited on “Top Story”, Skënderi also addressed hate speech on social networks directed at politicians, expressing concern about the level of anger in society.
“Politics has failed to strengthen educational institutions in the country, to foster a kind of citizenship and to develop the ability to think.
Even the least educated person has the ability to understand when someone is truly worthy and when they struggle to articulate basic things in a speech.
Today we notice increased dissatisfaction with politicians. It is enough to look at the hate speech on social networks. It goes to a kind of anger that knows no limits, especially toward politicians.
This worries me, because these angry people are in the streets and you have to work with them”, said Elsa Skënderi.
