Samuel Chukwueze has undergone surgery in London after suffering damage to the tendon of the tensor fasciae latae muscle in the left hip.
The news was announced by AC Milan in an official statement, which confirmed that the operation was completely successful.
The surgery was performed by Professor Ernest Schilders, in the presence of the Rossoneri club doctor, Stefano Mazzoni.
The footballer is expected to return to Italy today, where he will immediately begin the rehabilitation process under the supervision of the medical staff.
According to preliminary assessments, Chukwueze could be out of action for about three months. It is a long absence for Milan, which will have to manage without the services of the Nigerian forward during this period.
