Albania-Germany agreement on recognition of social insurance will be signed in summer
The agreement on the recognition of years of social insurance for Albanian citizens who work and live in Germany will be ready this summer.
The first round of negotiations between the two countries has concluded, while it is expected another meeting between the two parties to conclude the agreement.
The Minister of Social Welfare and Youth Erjon Veliaj said that this agreement benefits to thousands of Albanians, but also German nationals who work in our country.
The German Ambassador Helmut Hoffman considered the agreement between the two countries very important, and according to him the cooperation will extend in the field of employment.
Referring to the numerous cases of Albanian citizens seeking asylum in Germany, Hoffman said that no political asylum can be achieved by Albanian nationals.
Meanwhile, Minister Veliaj said that similar negotiations will start with Italy as well on the recognition of pensions for Albanian citizens who work and live in the neighboring country.
