Albanians swarm at Square of Martyrs for Eid al-Fitr Prayer
Muslims in Albania, one of the beautiful countries of Balkan Peninsula flocked to the mosques, masjids and squares around the country to perform Eid al-Fitr prayer including in capital city of Albania where people swarmed at Square of Martyrs to prayer.
Due to the lack of big mosques, same as the previous years, Muslim residents of Tirana performed their prayer with the participation of thousands of people.
Square of Martyrs, known as Deshmoret e Komit also is the busiest square in Tirana was brimmed with Muslim Albanians who performed Eid al-Fitr prayer in a peace and unity.
Before the prayer, Skender Brucaj, Albanian Religious Affair Chairman also called as Grand Mufti of Albania gave a sermon and wished all fast, pray alms and good deeds which were kept or performed by Muslims to be accepted by Allah.
After the Brucaj, Tirana Mufti Ylli Gurra gave a sermon and stated that like any other Muslim countries, in Albania also Eid al-Fitr is the same meaning such peace and brotherhood.
