Media Freedom in Albania improves
Albania has marked some improvement in terms of media freedom. According to the Press Freedom Index of Reporters Without Borders, which includes 180 countries Albania is ranked three places higher than a year ago.
In the annual report of the Organization, Albania is ranked 82nd, marking an improvement compared to a year ago when it was ranked 85th, while Kosovo has seen a deterioration being ranked 87th, from the 80th place in 2014.
The ranking is made according to a set of criteria that include media pluralism and independence, respect for the safety and freedom of journalists, and legislative environment, institutional and infrastructure in which media operates.
3 Scandinavian countries such as Finland, Norway and Denmark has been at the top of the list for 5 years now.
