Two expected points of the agreement: Integration and decriminalization
After Mr.Eduard Kukan arrives in Tirana this Sunday, he and Knut Fleckenstein will help this Monday drafting the agreement that will end the opposition’s boycott.
This Monday, the European Parliament Members will meet with Albanian politicians, starting with the opposition leader, Lulzim Basha.
The meeting will start early at 08:00, which means how in a rush parties are to make the opposition not miss the last session of this Friday, and not burn the mandates of the Democratic Party.
Kukan will start meeting with Prime Minister Edi Rama one hour later, which will be concluded at 10:00, this Monday, with Ilir Meta.
The meetings of Kukan will end before 13:00, on Monday, when the Democratic Party leader has announced the meeting with the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party.
In the meeting with this group, which would be the first after three months, Lulzim Basha will announce the stance of the biggest opposition party as regards Parliament.
Sources at Top Channel say that the agreement between Fleckenstein and Kukan is expected to have two points, the international guarantee for the implementation of this agreement, cooperation for serving the country’s integration, and the obligation for a decriminalization draft.
The last point will decide if the people who have been sentenced in the past by courts will be allowed to run for the elections of 2017, or if it will be also for others who are already part of the public administration.
