Peaceful protest, young people regroup at the Prime Ministry. No “white smoke” for dialogue with Rama

About an hour after standing in front of the Ministry of Education, protesters have begun marching toward the Prime Minister’s Office, continuing their gathering against the government. Unlike the previous eight days of the protest, today has been characterized by calm. As of 14:36, no clashes with police, attacks on institutions, or use of stones, Molotov cocktails, water cannons, or tear gas have been reported.

During the march, young people and other citizens have expressed their dissatisfaction with the government, calling for resignations and change. Protesters have also addressed citizens in other Albanian cities, inviting them to join the gatherings. They have also appealed to Albanians in the diaspora, aiming to expand participation in the protest.

The march toward the Prime Minister’s Office is expected to continue as part of the protest, while so far the gathering has been carried out peacefully. Today, too, there was no acceptance of the outstretched hand for dialogue from Edi Rama; in a gesture of revolt, they removed and threw the chairs set up in the square. Meanwhile, classes have been boycotted in Korçë and partially in Tirana and Korçë.
