Tomas Strakosha continues to receive praise for his outstanding season with Athens club AEK. The Albanian national team goalkeeper has been named the best goalkeeper in the Greek league, but a concern is emerging for the club’s fans, as the hand injury could keep him out of matches in November.
The 31-year-old was one of the main protagonists in AEK’s success last season, when the team won the Greek championship and secured a place in the Champions League.
His performances were characterized by confidence between the posts and decisive interventions, and he has now also been rewarded with the individual award for the best goalkeeper in the league. After receiving the award, Strakosha did not hide his satisfaction, dedicating this success to his family and teammates.
“It is a very important award for me. I want to share it with my family, who stands by me at every moment. We had an excellent season, with discipline, passion and patience. I think the best match was the one against Anderlecht,” said the Albanian goalkeeper.
However, not everything is positive for Strakosha. Although AEK has secured its place in the Champions League, the goalkeeper has yet to make his debut in the competition due to the hand injury he suffered. According to Greek media reports, he has started training, but remains in serious doubt for Albania’s final matches in November.
